The Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH) program allows patent applicants to fast track the examination at one office if a corresponding application receives positive examination results at one of the GPPH partner Intellectual Property (IP) offices through the sharing of examination results.
There are currently 27 countries that are participating in the GPPH pilot program. Their respective patent offices are as follows:

To-date, grant rates are significantly higher for PPH applications and a significant percentage of the PPH applications proceed to allowance in Canada without the issuance of an office action.
